Security & Privacy
We treat your members' professional relationships and contact details with the same trust they place in each other — protected at every layer, private by design. Access is controlled through personal invitations, Event QR sign-ups, or club join requests, depending on the flow. A request to join a Rotary or Rotaract club is decided by a club administrator.
Encryption
Connections to RotaLink use HTTPS, so contact details, profile information and network connections travel between your device and RotaLink over an encrypted connection.
Access scope
Club administration and private contact access are scoped, while some discovery and Board features work across the RotaLink network.
Infrastructure
RotaLink runs on Vercel. Private areas of the app are gated at the edge before a request ever reaches application code.
Database
Member data lives in Neon serverless Postgres. Access decisions that matter — visibility, approvals, admin rights — are re-checked against the database on every request.
Authentication
RotaLink sign-in is handled through 6away ID, using OpenID Connect. Sessions live in signed, httpOnly cookies verified on every request, and admin access is enforced on the server.
Contact Privacy
Email and phone numbers are not public. They are visible to members of your own club and to the member who added you. Club officers can see them for their own club, and RotaLink administrators for all members. Other members see a profile without contact details.
RotaLink's semantic search is powered by the 6away Engine. A search runs only over members you are already allowed to see, and if the Engine is ever unavailable, search falls back to a plain on-platform text match.
Prompt Safety
Prompt injection attacks are detected and blocked before reaching the model. Queries are isolated per request.
Data Handling
AI search sends selected profile information and your search query to the 6away Engine. Email addresses and phone numbers are not sent. Short excerpts of searches and replies are kept in the Engine's logs; provider retention and training terms are not yet confirmed.
Output Safety
All Engine outputs are sanitised before reaching the UI. XSS vectors and injection patterns are stripped at the API layer.
Cost & Abuse
30KB member block limit, 500-char query cap, and per-workspace rate limiting.
Your members' data belongs to your club. We do not sell or monetise member contact information. Contact details are handled and shared only as described in the Privacy Policy. RotaLink exists to serve your club — not to profit from it.
