Security & Privacy
We treat your members' professional relationships and contact details with the same trust they place in each other — protected at every layer, private by design. RotaLink is invite-only: every member arrives through a personal invitation, and standard members are approved by a club admin before they can see the network.
Encryption
All traffic is served over HTTPS, and member data is encrypted at rest by our database provider. Contact details, profile information, and network connections never travel unprotected.
Isolation
All queries are scoped by club membership at the database layer. A private member cannot reach published members' contact details. Isolation is structural, not policy.
Infrastructure
Served from Vercel's global edge network with platform-level DDoS mitigation, close to your members wherever they are. Private areas of the app are gated at the edge before a request ever reaches application code.
Database
Member data lives in Neon serverless Postgres, with automated backups managed by the provider. Access decisions that matter — visibility, approvals, admin rights — are re-checked against the database on every request.
Authentication
Sign-in is handled by 6away Auth using OpenID Connect. RotaLink runs no password login of its own and never sees or stores a password. Sessions live in signed, httpOnly cookies verified on every request, and admin access is enforced on the server.
Contact Privacy
Email and phone numbers are only visible to members of the same club. Cross-club members see a profile but never contact details — introductions require a trusted path.
The 6away Engine powering RotaLink's semantic search is built around the OWASP LLM Top 10 security controls. Every search is protected at each step — and if the Engine is ever unavailable, search falls back to a plain on-platform text match.
Prompt Safety
Prompt injection attacks are detected and blocked before reaching the model. Queries are isolated per request.
Data Handling
Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped from member data before anything is sent to the Engine. Search processing is ephemeral and member data is never used for model training.
Output Safety
All Engine outputs are sanitised before reaching the UI. XSS vectors and injection patterns are stripped at the API layer.
Cost & Abuse
30KB member block limit, 500-char query cap, and per-workspace rate limiting. No single session can abuse the system.
Your members' data belongs to your club. We never sell, share, or monetise contact information, relationship data, or network structure. RotaLink exists to serve your club — not to profit from it.
